Herb Pennock Park
650 West South Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348
Herb Pennock Park is a historic park in the community, and the hub for baseball games from the spring to the fall, as well as a great place for picnicking. It is managed by the Kennett Area Park and Recreation Board. A 1/4 mile compacted stone dust trail around the park enables visitors to walk around the park and connect easily to the Parrish Trail, just across the street from the park.

Parrish Trail
650 W South St, Kennett Square, PA 19348
This 1 mile trail segment of the Kennett Greenway is managed by The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County (TLC). It offers a stone aggregate surface and begins just South of the Herb Pennock Park and follows the West Branch of the Red Clay Creek South to Chandler Mill Rd.

Marshall Bridge Preserve
Benge Rd & Farm Ln, Kennett Square, PA 19348
Enter through Auburn Heights off of Benge Rd. and continue through paved parking area to follow farm lane to gravel parking lot.
The 80 acre preserve is owned and managed by The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County (TLC). It offers 3 miles of natural and mowed trails through wooded and open meadow habitat. Trails connect to Auburn Heights, a Delaware State Park.

Marshall Mill House Preserve

This 40 acre property is owned and managed by The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County (TLC). It offers 1.5 miles of natural trails through a wooded habitat.

New Leaf Eco Center

This 11 acre preserve is owned and managed by The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County (TLC). It offers .5 miles of mowed trails through a wooded wetland and open meadow habitat. Trails connect to the Kennett Township Building trails via road crossing at Rosedale Rd. and Hillendale Rd. New Leaf is TLC’s budding sustainability demonstration site featuring apiary, bioswales, fungi remediation, and native tree plantings.

The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County

This 45 acre preserve is owned and managed by the Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County (TLC). It will offer 1.5 miles of exterior trails to the public with interior access through TLC educational programming only. Chandler Mill Preserve is adjacent to the The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County’s headquarters.

Stateline Woods Preserve

This 82 acre preserve is owned by the The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County (TLC). It offers 4 miles of natural and mowed trails through wooded and open meadow habitat.

Anson B. Nixon Park

Located on North Walnut Street, just off State Street, Anson B. Nixon Park is a hidden gem nestled just north of charming downtown Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Comprised of 106 acres, the Park was carved out of the historic woodlands of the late 18th through early 20th century Chambers estate. This natural setting includes two ponds, meandering streams, woodlands including a beech grove with specimens dating back over 250 years, and 3 miles of paved and dirt walking trails.

Magnolia Trail

The official trailhead of the Kennett Greenway, The Magnolia trail connects key segments on the western portion of the Greenway to allow for continuous access to Kennett’s rich natural resources. The Magnolia trail itself is ½ mile long, and connects with Pennock Park and the Parrish Trailhead. Ample parking makes Magnolia Trail a great place to start your adventure! Consider visiting Victory Brewing Co. for refreshments after exploring the trail!
Barkingfield Park
557 Bayard Rd., Kennett Square, PA 19348
Barkingfield Park is a 45-acre park dedicated to passive recreation for the entire community to enjoy. The Township will begin working on a passive recreation park which will include trails, sunflower and wildflower meadows, a community garden, two separate dog parks and a mowed grass area where children can throw a football or play some soccer. Access to the park will be through the maintenance garage entrance and will be open from dawn to dusk. The park is the result of a collaborative effort with the Deleeuw and Pia families along with the Township, the LCAC and TLC.

YMCA Trail
101 Race St. Kennett Square, PA 19348
This 0.4 mile trail segment of the Kennett Greenway is managed by the Borough of Kennett Square and is a beautiful way to get from Broad Street to the YMCA. It is a stone aggregate surface and goes from the Kennett Area YMCA along the East Branch of the Red Clay Creek to Church Alley and Broad Street behind East Penn Railroad.

Broad Street to YMCA Trail
This 0.4 mile trail segment of the Kennett Greenway is managed by the Borough of Kennett Square and is a beautiful way to get from Broad Street to the YMCA. It is a stone aggregate surface and goes from the Kennett Area YMCA along the East Branch of the Red Clay Creek to Church Alley and Broad Street behind East Penn Railroad.
